Survey launched on Industrial Permitting in the Pharmaceutical Sector

The European Commission (DG GROW) has launched an online survey to gather input from permitting authorities and project developers active in the pharmaceutical and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) sectors across 14 EU Member States: Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Latvia, Finland, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Czechia, and Hungary.

The purpose of this survey is to understand the organisational competencies related to industrial permitting processes and to identify the challenges and opportunities for digitalising these processes, with a detailed focus on the pharmaceutical sector. More information can be found in the letter of the European Commission available below and on the Study webpage, where you can also register for updates.

We kindly invite you to complete the survey for your respective stakeholder group, by clicking on the following links:

If you are a public authority, take the survey here

If you are a project developer, take the survey here

If you encounter issues in some browsers, we recommend using Chrome or Edge.

The surveys are open until 12 September 2025.

You can complete the survey in English or in any other EU official language via automated translation. However, for optimal accuracy, we suggest completing the English version and using the translated versions only as needed to support comprehension.

As a public authority or project developer, your feedback is crucial in this process. By consulting different stakeholder groups, the Commission aims to collect solutions and best practices on how permitting procedures can improve. All personal information collected through the survey will remain confidential and will be used solely for study purposes.
